We are very proud and appreciative of our Associates who participated on the J.C. Hart team, Hart & Sole, in this year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Last year it was a cold and drizzly day, but this year the weather gods looked favorably down upon this event and provided a beautiful spring day; no rain and 50's at 9:00 a.m., later warming up into the 60's. Danny Dugger and his fiance, Dana Dye, Tricia Darling and her sister Peggy, Lisa Fuller and her cousin and friend Holly and Brittini, Amanda White and her boyfriend, Michelle Metzner (former J.C. Hart Associate) and her boyfriend, Vicki Russell-Webber, Victoria Helm and Jane Garceau were among the 42,416 who walked, ran and helped raised donations and hope for those fighting this terrible disease. Deb Fuller was also a member of the team, but was unable to race due to her work schedule!
It is truly an uplifting experience to be a part of and we are thankful to our Associates who take the time and make the effort to help raise funds to
find a cure. Oak Lake and BayShore both raised hundreds of dollars by asking residents to make donations. Some offered the pennies in the bottom of their car ashtrays and some wrote checks for $50, but it all added up. That's the way to do it. And we are very grateful to John Hart, who said he would match what we raised. Guess what? We raised $2,207 so John is matching that amount with a check for Komen Indianapolis in the amount of $2,207 so our total fundraising efforts are $4, 414!! Way to go, Hart & Sole! Truly outstanding. Thanks to all who donated and thanks to this team of Associates who went the extra 3.1 miles!
